Workshops

I am particularly interested in archive collections of letters and journals. In 2002/3 I spent a year as writer in residence for my local archive service here in Cumbria. It was, in part, the eighteenth and nineteenth century letters that I found then which made me decide to write parts of the Dido Kent series in the form of letters.

The Archivists asked me to promote 'the creative as well as the factual use of archives' and I still run workshops on this subject for writers groups, adult education courses etc.

If you think your group might be interested in taking part in one of these please contact me.
